Kyson’s clothes were stained with blood, necessitating a change before he could return to the banquet hall. However, Lucinda, exhausted and dispirited, had lost all interest in continuing the festivities.
Snowflakes began to fall again.
The frigid wind carried the snow, causing the temperature to fall abruptly.
Lucinda hugged herself, shivering.
“Take me back to my residence. I need some rest.”
Without hesitation, Kyson swiftly removed his suit jacket and draped it over her shoulders.
A guard brought them an umbrella, and Kyson shielded her from the falling snow with it.

This time, she didn’t turn down his gesture.
